Went to Tom's burgers yesterday. The same 2 guys were back there taking orders and cooking the food. I ordered a cheeseburger special and for some reason this meal tasted better then my first time here. They can be slow to notice you at the order window, but give them 1-2 min., they'll provide excellent customer service once they see you.
This place serves some decent cheeseburgers and fries, which are a bucketload. You can smell the food from down the street and it's oh-so-good. The workers are quick and friendly and will make reasonable accommodations. Plus they are bilingual. Because the eating area is open to the outdoors, it gets dusty. -1 star for that. But the pros outweigh the cons.
My parents met here back in the 80s. My dad would always hang out and chill with the morning regulars. We loved Toño and Lupe. I loved their food. Hoping this place never gets permanently closed. Hoping I can stop by and eat a burger like old times.
Burgers and chili cheese fries are the best!! The men cooking the food are great cooks!

This spot is super good. It's been in business since 1950's. From cheese burger specials to pastrami sandwiches.
